This depicts a character I created about 5 years ago. A boy who one morning transforms into a dragon. At first he is unable to change back into a human, and is labeled a beast and killer, despite doing nothing wrong. A bounty is set on his head, and even his friends and family are against him- one being against the whole world. He was attacked relentlessly, until he finally snapped and injured someone. This, of course, wasn't the best action, and now the bounty at least had some twisted logic behind it.
Once he was able to escape, he made his home in a seaside town in an abandoned cottage far from the area he originated from. He is finally able to transform back into a human- after a few fumbled attempts turned him into a cat. It wasn't long before he mastered these transformations, and they did come in handy. Because he could not show his human face in public, he relied on the cat form to find scraps of food from bins or steal from small stands in markets. Rarely he would use the dragon form to hunt for fish in the nearby ocean.
His experiences changed him. Once a happy-go-lucky teenager, now a cynical and pessimistic "monster".
The only people who showed him any kindness were the small children, who he had a soft spot for. He was always a kid person, and that never changed.
---- A small size comparison of his forms, if you're curious: [link]
I love your dragons! ^^ The background is amazing! I love the birds jut because I didn't notice them there before on the preview. So...they were a pleasant surprise when opened the page. Sounds like a great story too. Would make a great book, methinks.
Psh! They're missing out. ALL of your art rocks, so...fail on their part. XD I've been watchin you since you were a pixel artist. You talked about having dragon drawings then, but were "too lazy" to put them up. So...I was pretty pumped when you put some up.
Not only are dragons amazing creatures, but I like people if they aren't "one-note artists." that is why you are awesome and a fun person to watch. (unnecessary explanation: accomplished XD)
Aw, why not? Let the author in you flow! At least a little drabble would be awesome. *pouty lip* hahaha! Lawl. XD sorry for the huge reply.
Haha, I remember those days. xD Too bad i'm still too lazy to be bothered to scan a lot of things. xP
I'm glad you like the variety in my gallery! Some people are just boring and prefer one thing (which I personally don't understand. :I)
I'm actually looking for a site to post up not only some of my fanfiction, but also some personal stories. I'm not sure which site yet, though. I was thinking fanficiton.net, but i'm not sure they accept original stories. :c
Lol, join the crowd. I'm so lazy when it comes to scanning, it's ridiculous. XD
A variety? Psh, I like it all! Some more than others, but I still like all of it.
I'm pretty sure they don't... D: Try blogspot. That's where two of my friends have their stories posted! I have a couple I'm looking to post as well, but I had the same problem you did. I haven't gotten the chance to post on blogspot yet because a. I'm still thinking of a story title and b. I'm not quite happy with what I have so far. Still have editing and stuffs. But anyway, that's where I suggest posting. It's served both my friends well, so...
Thankyou very much! I was a bit worried about how the rocks would turn out, especially since i'm not very good at them.
He's just a basic sort of dragon. He's brown purely because as a human he has brown hair. xD Nothing special. He doesn't have any special abilities- he breathes fire and is very powerful. Not to mention he's fairly large, too. An average human would be as tall as his elbow.
I think if the drawing you submit is over a particular size, you can make it a print. (I'm not really sure of dimensions.) All I know is that the file you put on dA has to be fairly large, so don't resize it at all before submitting if you want to make it a print. (Just personal preference, but I normally do drawings at 2000-3000x1000-2000 pixels and leave them that way so I can make it into small and large prints.)
But if you're curious and want to see if any of your drawings are suitable to be made a print, go to the deviation page and look on the right hand side. If there's a "Print Not Enabled" icon ( [link] ) you can make it a print.
I've noticed that for some reason any drawings under the "fanart" category refuse to be made prints. Well, at least by me anyway.
Traditionally that is because fanart is under copyrighted characters and material which selling copyrighted material that is not yours (Such as characters from a tv show or book that one does not personally own) is considered illegal. So do be careful of that D:
But the prints do make sense, I guess I'll just have to draw on a larger scale c':
That shouldn't be a problem for when I do photography though Photos are naturally in a higher resolution
